Is there a way I could download the entire folder directly to my external drive? Hopefully a free solution.
I tried using the desktop app on my mac to transfer folders but it automatically downloads everything again onto my laptop and then starts copying it to the external drive which takes irrationally long. You will also have free access to 5TB of cloud storage via Microsoft OneDrive. I read on Microsoft forums that the folder download limit is around 20 gigs but download stops every time at 3,5. The problem is when i try to download the folder it stops at 3,5gb and I get a zip file which cannot be opened. Unfortunately i will graduate soon and I will loose access to this account soon after so I boight an external drive so I can have a local copy of my stuff too and i can upload them again to a diffucloud service. I’m using the 1TB OneDrive account that i got from my university and since i got into photography that’s where I stored most of my work around a 180GB.

To download individual or multiple files, select each item by clicking the circle check box that appears. TL:DR is there a way to download an entire 180gb folder to an external drive? On your OneDrive, SharePoint in Microsoft 365, SharePoint Server Subscription Edition, or SharePoint Server 2019 website, select the files or folders you want to download.
